About Us
Our Purpose
The purposes for which the Walden Community Council (WCC) has been organized are as follows:
-
To encourage the residents to restore pride in their village and community, especially the downtown shopping area, by cooperating with the Walden business owners and assisting them in bringing the business people together to work towards the unified goals of uplifting and beautifying the business community and surrounding areas.
-
The WCC also provides a unified voice which can present ideas and/or issues to village officials to facilitate positive changes for the betterment of the community.
-
Funding for the WCC will be derived from contributions and donations which will also be used for the granting of scholarships to students from time to time.
Membership
Membership is open to any individual who has an active interest in the positive promotion of the Village of Walden. Our membership of Village residents and representatives of businesses located in the village are working collaboratively to enrich our community.
